Frequently Asked Questions.
Before Your Visit
When should I arrive for my appointment?
Five minutes early. Just enough time to settle in without rushing.
What if I'm running late?
We'll do our best to give you the full treatment whenever possible. If another appointment is booked
right after yours, your massage will be shortened so no one is kept waiting.
Are there any rules I should follow?
Two. Silence your phone when you arrive, and keep conversation quiet and to a minimum.
That way, you and everyone else get the same thing: a calm space where your therapist can focus on
what you need.
Can I choose my therapist?
Yes. Just tell us their name when booking, and we'll schedule your appointment around their availability.
How do I book with a voucher?
Read us your voucher code when you call.
Appointments can be canceled up to 24 hours in advance. If you can't use your voucher
before it expires, let us know in time. Without notice, it will expire.
About the Massage
Does massage hurt?
There's a clear line: any discomfort should stay bearable, and you stay in constant communication with your therapist about it.
Therapeutic massage uses measured pressure, enough to relax the muscle without causing new damage. That's why it's done as a series of four to five sessions in close succession, so a tight muscle can gradually return to normal function.
What does a full-body massage include?
Back, neck, shoulders, glutes, legs, feet and arms. Face on request.
How often should I come?
Once a month is enough for relaxation.
If you carry a lot of tension or train professionally, once a week.
What does massage actually do?
It relaxes and reduces muscle tension, eases chronic pain, improves sleep and posture, lowers stress and helps prevent injuries.
Can I work out after a massage?
You can, but we recommend leaving your workout for the next day and giving your body time to recover. This applies especially after sports and therapeutic massage.
Pregnancy & Health
Can I get a massage while pregnant?
Yes, in all trimesters, as long as your prenatal checkups show everything is fine. In that case, the only massage we offer is prenatal massage, which is adapted for pregnancy.
Can I get a massage during my period?
Yes, if you feel comfortable. Massage is relaxing and may ease cramps if you have them.
Is there any reason I shouldn't get a massage?
Usually not. However, some conditions mean we postpone or adapt the massage, so please let us know when booking.
We postpone the massage if you have:
– a fever or an ongoing infection
– a fresh injury, sprain or fracture, in the first few days
– swelling, redness and pain in the calf (please see a doctor first)
– a wound, burn or skin condition in the area to be treated
In the last two cases, we can often work on a different part of the body.
With your doctor's approval, we can work with high blood pressure and heart conditions, diabetes with complications, advanced osteoporosis, recent surgery and a cancer diagnosis. In these cases, we don't do a classic massage but a gentler, adapted treatment.
During pregnancy, we don't do a classic massage, only prenatal massage.
If you're not sure, call us before you decide not to come. A lot of things aren't obstacles, just a reason to do the treatment differently.
